Grants are made to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and public agencies serving the Virginia Counties of Lee, Scott, Wise, Dickenson, Russell, Buchanan, Tazewell, Washington, and the Cities of Norton and Bristol. Grants will also be made to 501(c)(3) organizations outside of the region that are designated as fund recipients by donors, or are recommended to receive grants from donor-advised funds.
Through a careful review process, the FAV's staff and board work together to award grants that strengthen the nonprofit sector and support the work of public agencies. Grants funded by donor gifts, grants, and other support strengthen Southwest Virginia communities today and will continue to do so in perpetuity.
